On January 31, 2024, a local news outlet reported Christine Schneider, a 60 year-old from Bridgeton, Missouri, died from a crash with a tractor trailer on Interstate 70 in St. Charles County. The Missouri Highway Patrol reported a tractor-trailer made an unsafe lane change, striking the other vehicle, and causing it to leave the road. The crash caused the interstate to close.
