On January 13th, police responded to an accident on East Grand Boulevard and North Florissant Road. An unidentified man was speeding north on Grand and lost control of the car, sliding into the southbound lanes. He sideswiped a parked MetroBus and slid into an electric signal, a streetlight and fire hydrant. The 37-year-old driver and his passenger were taken to the hospital. The passenger, identified as 34-year-old Kevieon Smith, died of his injuries.
