Pedestrians Killed as They Were Leaving Drake Concert at Enterprise

At around 12:30 am on February 14th, a mother and daughter were struck by a Jeep Cherokee as they were crossing the street to leave the Drake concert at Enterprise Center. The women were identified as 42-year-old Laticha Bracero and 21-year-old, Alyssa Cordova visiting from Chicago. The Jeep was traveling at a high rate of speed and ran a red light, sideswiped a vehicle, and rotated clockwise into the pedestrians before striking another vehicle. One woman was pronounced dead at the scene and the other died at the hospital. Four others were injured in the crash and the 22-year-old driver has been charged with manslaughter.
