The St. Louis Metropolitan Police responded to a Freightliner truck crash at around 3am on March 2nd at I-70 near O’Fallon Park. A 23-year-old man was speeding and as he attempted to switch lanes, he hit the rear left corner of the box truck. The car, containing the driver and two passengers, then flipped and slid along the interstate shoulder. The 26-year-old woman in the passenger seat died on the scene and the driver and backseat passenger were transported to the hospital and are in stable condition. The 46-year-old woman driving the Freightliner was not injured.
