Sarah Howell, a 45-year-old woman who worked as an assistant principal at Confluence Academy, was killed in a car accident in Kirkwood on May 4th. She was driving southbound through the intersection of Geyer and Big Bend when a vehicle struck her car at around 9pm. The advocacy group Safer Streets for Kirkwood has expressed concerns over speeding in this intersection and is lobbying for the county to make improvements.
